Design Brief
Create a spinning top related product for age 6+. It can be a simple, yet intriguing design in multiple colours. A playset based on the spinning top idea or anything else you might think of. Create a suggested packaging.
Solution
A spinning top as a toy has a long a history and therefore to create something new is quite challenging. I designed a set of spinning tops that look like three different characters. A face part is made from wood and the hair part is made from woollen fibre by the simple pom pom technique and attached together. My aim was to design an original and simple concept with an emphasis on sustainability.
